Willow started Preschool this week. I was hoping she would be as excited about it as she was last spring. Oh well. It's good for her and ME!!!
She's been giving us a run for our money lately. I'm wondering if it's a 2 year old thing or what. She has fits, doesn't want to do what we ask, tells us NO, not eating unless we bribe her and feed her. GRRR, we are frustrated!!!
On a good note W and I joined a mom's group. We've had some fun adventures, and we can't wait for more.

It'll soon be 2 years since our Little Nugget became Willow Grace. I can't believe it's been nearly 2 years. Where oh where does the time go? She's so much fun now, becoming such a little person with her own thoughts and wants. Eating out and shopping are still pretty much a no-go with her in tow, but I'm hoping that'll change soon. She's not a big eater and just wants to get down and explore so that's what makes it hard. She's been involved in so much stuff. Library time, soccer, preschool. Thinking about swim lessons again after preschool summer camp is over.
Speech therapy has begun, only one session complete as of now though. We were already seeing improvement but we are glad we decided to go ahead and get her some help.
She loves the park and swinging on the swings and LOVES mamaw and papaw Hofmann. And they are pretty smitten with her as well. She loves to go stay with them and they love having her.
I only wish my grandparents and Jim's dad were here to see her. I know they would be smitten too.

I have been horrible at keeping up with this blog!!!
So Willow is in tumbling. Not so sure it's what I was hoping...she just doesn't get her wiggles out while there. However we did enroll her in a preschool program at the same place one day a week for 2 hours (with out ME). That however, is a win win. She loves going, I assume since there is never any tears and doesn't come running when we come to pick her up.Her teacher told us "she's a runner" and "she likes to explore"....that's our Willow. One day a week we go to the Mooresville Library for Baby Time and some weeks it is a success for Willow, some weeks not so much. Starting in April she will start soccer. We both are going to be in attendance for that and we are both very excited to see how a whole bunch of little ones "play" or "learn" soccer.
The "terrible almost twos" have reached our house , that is for sure. At least we assume that is what is going on. She gets so worked up sometimes that we just don't know what to do. I'm hoping it gets easier.
Sleeping has become ALMOST bearable. Getting her to bed has been a cinch for the past few weeks. She still tends to wake almost every night at least once, but it seems that she is just thristy. Once she gets a drink she tends to go right back to sleep.
We all can't wait for it to get warm so we don't have to layer clothes just to go out to play. Which we do as much as possible even during the snowiest of days. Willow just LOVES to be outside, her favorite activity is swinging. Jim is going to make Willow a swingset starting soon, and I'm sure we will be out there everyday we can.
Til next time.......................

Tumbling started today for Willow. Pretty sure she's the youngest in the class and most definitely the smallest. They had an obstacle course set up for them. They walked a low balance beam, jumped on a trampoline, practiced a roll over. Then they worked on bars. Well she had NO idea what the heck she was supossed to do, we'll work on that. BUT her most favorite part was RUNNING on the long trampoline. It ended in a foam pit, we'll work up to jumping into that. I can't wait to take her back.

We have an 18 month old! Wait, What? Where did the time go? Seems like yesterday we were bringing home this little baby wearing preemie clothes.
She had her 18month doc appt today. She's about the same percentile wise, getting taller but not gaining much weight. I think it's because she's so busy. Doc didn't seemed worried about it. On the other hand, she still isn't saying much . She does say a few things but not a lot. She babbles a lot and is very dramatic with her hands though. She can meow and follows the cats around doing so. She does say "Circe" so that's a accomplishment. So we are giving her a month then we may have to start some speech therapy. So let's hope it doesn't come to that but whatever the outcome we'll work with it.
